An approach to Construction Automation developed by Dante Bini. Using air to create their form, Binishells are inherently green as they require less labor, material, resources, energy and time to construct compared to common building practices. Along with savings during construction, the structures highly efficient building envelope also costs less to operate. Possible building applications range from high-end residential, to schools, gymnasiums, commercial buildings, low cost housing, emergency shelters, storage and an infinite variety of other typologies.
Felix Candela, Heinz Isler, Buckminster Fuller and Frei Otto are four Masters that inspire the work by Dante Bini where he has applied construction automation in the fields of Thin shell and Tension structures, Geodesic domes, Cities’ infrastructures and Lunar bases.
